I am Dr. István Kő, M.D., a consultant in rheumatology. I graduated at the Budapest Medical University in 1967. My specialisations include internal medicine and rheumatology-physiotherapy.
For over 45 years I have been treating patients with spinal and joint diseases, and, on account of my special qualification, also administering manual therapy and acupuncture treatments to such locomotor disorders. Manual therapy is a kind of treatment that borrows methods from chiropractor, but is based on a solid medical knowledge.
In addition to working at hospital, I have had a well-equipped private surgery for 22 years.

In addition to being a member of the Association of Hungarian Reumatologists, I hold memberships in the following organisations
- Association of Hungarian Manual Therapy Physicians (Board member)
- Hungarian Society of Spinal Medicine
- Hungarian Society of Osteoporosis and Osteoarthology
- Society of Hungarian Acupuncture Physicians
- Society of Hungarian Physiotherapists (affiliate member)
- Hungarian Association of Balneology
I regularly attend the congresses and professional meetings of these organisations, deliver talks, thus attempting to learn up-to-know knowledge in all areas.
